Fundraising for my Masters

If you have got this far hopefully it means you are enjoying the site and my work so thank you!

This September I am planning to further myself professionally by starting a Masters Course (Fine Art) at UWE. I am so happy to have made the decision as I think it will be hugely beneficial to myself as an artist but also with future plans to become more involved with education (either by studying for a PHD or becoming a lecturer - or both!)

Having spent a lot of time curating and organising projects I am now turning my attention towards developing my own practice and career further.

I have being working within the arts for almost 4 years, having prominent roles at Fabrica Gallery, Brighton as Office Manager and in my present role as Customer Services Supervisor and Volunteer Coordinator at The Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. With the experience, understanding and work ethic I have gained through working in this field I believe I can really make the most of what the MA and the university has to offer me and it will be a huge benefit to me as an artist and in other aspects with my career goals.

In the future I wish to continue to make work, building on my career and practice as an artist, along with developing teaching skills to support this. I would like to move towards becoming a lecturer at a college or university or instead continue within academia and go on to complete a PHD.

So my next challange is to fund the course fees which are £5150. Luckily I am taking the part time route so this will be around £1720 a year or £430 per term. I am looking for sponsors, grants and some very kind people who have an interest in supporting an emerging Artist & Arts Educator. Please be aware that any funds gained will be strictly used for the purpose of Course Fees. In the rare case that I surpass the target of £5150 any additional monies will go towards books and materiels. If the amount is vastly over the target I will donate this to the university for other students in a similar position.
