Artist Call Out

I am looking to meet with 6 artists, who are also mothers or primary caregivers, who would be happy to show me around their studio (in person, guidelines allowing or virtually if not!). I would love to discuss your practice, your career to date and how you have found ways to juggle the demands of both of these roles. I am interested in expanding my networks and I am open to learning from those working in any visual or multi-disciplinary artform. During 2021 I will be taking on activity to develop my practice. This R&D time is funded by ACE DYCP fund (you can read more about my plans in this previous post). If I receive too many replies I will prioritise based on relevance and ease of travel from Bristol. During 2021 my focus will be on developing creative experiments; paintings, ceramics, textiles and research around motherhood, environment and community.
